Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services under Chapter 245D, we help individuals with disabilities find, prepare for, and maintain meaningful, competitive, integrated employment in their communities.
What are employment services?
We are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) under Chapter 245D to provide home and community-based employment services. Our goal is to help individuals with disabilities find, prepare for, and maintain meaningful, competitive, integrated employment — real jobs, in the community, alongside coworkers without disabilities.
Three levels of employment support
Employment Exploration
The starting point for individuals curious about work but unsure where to begin. We help clients understand their options through skills assessments to identify strengths and interests, job-shadowing to observe different roles and environments, and workshops on resume writing and interview skills.
Employment Development
For individuals actively ready to enter the workforce. Includes individualized counseling, training, job-skills development, and job placement services to help people reach their employment goals.
Employment Support
For individuals who are already employed and need continued assistance to stay on the job. We offer job-retention strategies for workplace challenges, continued skill enhancement to improve performance, and communication support to work effectively with employers.
Who is eligible?
Employment services are available to individuals on the Brain Injury (BI), Community Alternative Care (CAC), Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI), and Developmental Disabilities (DD) waiver plans. If you're on one of these waivers, we'll work with your case manager to coordinate and fund your services.
Working toward competitive, integrated employment
Whether someone is exploring options for the first time or settling into a new role, we build the plan around their goals, strengths, and interests — and coordinate closely with case managers and counties every step of the way.
